Hello,

I just bought agk2 and did the training excersise Print ("hello world").

But the qoutes won't work, they are just 2 dots.

Is there any solution for this?

Look through your program and see if there is another set of single quotations floating around in your program and delete them. Otherwise...what the flip??

Another thing to try is reinstall or use Steam's "verify integrity" option.

OH, and add "sync()" just before "loop", otherwise you won't see the text anyway.

I have the exact same problem. For a workaround I simply copy-paste the characters but a proper solution would be welcome here too!

Edit 01:
Nope, no strange code constructions. Been like this for me for ever. Even have reinstalled the stuff recently and still I have the same problem.

Edit 02:
I use the non-steam version.

PC Specs (if it helps):
• Win 10
• i7 3.6 GHz
• 16 GB
• GTX 970

My best guess here is that you are using a non-English keyboard and what looks like a quote on your keyboard is not what AppGameKit sees as a quote.
Try changing your keyboard to English and seeing if that fixes it. If it does but you still want to use your normal keyboard settings then I would recommend installing AutoHotkey and remapping something on your keyboard to ASCII character 34. Perhaps CTRL+SHIFT+quote for example or maybe the key under Escape that doesn't really get used for anything anyway.

Are you using " or '' ?
The first being 1x" and the other is 2x'. You should use the double quotation mark, not two single ones.

@OmegaPlez and @Sph!nx:
Are you guys Dutch by any chance? I am, and the IDE has a problem with users who have their keyboard set to 'Dutch'. I fixed it by setting it to standard 'English'. Be sure to delete any other language-settings listed, as the fix won't work if there is more than one keyboard-setting installed.
