I'm using Windows 8.1, AGK2 in Steam

Something happened, Pressing F1 pulls up the AGK2 help file into Notepad for some reason which is useless,
since Notepad can't understand html

I can't find a way to change it to load the Help file using Firefox my default browser

I would sure like some help learning how to change this to Firefox.

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter...

What happens if you try to open up a html file that's stored on your computer? If that also opens up in Notepad then just rightclick the file and choose open with and make Firefox the default one.

For me, pressing F1 opens help in Edge, even though chrome is my default browser and I've told AppGameKit to use chrome specifically. I hate this behaviour!

For the notepad thing, you may have to tell windows to open HTML files in your web browser rather than notepad.

Some of the files are htm (not html) , you also need to associate those with the browser of your choice.

Interesting hypothesis. I'll also try this.

Thanks Digital Awakening, Mobiius, and BatVink, you all hit the nail on the head!

Windows turned out to be the culprit here, NOT AGK2
In Control Panel...'Associate a File Type with a Program'... htm was set to open in Notepad for some reason.
As soon as I reset it to Firefox, F1 in App Game Kit worked just as I wanted it to.

Well Done, and Many Thanks!!!
