Is it possible to get this games pack without going through steam?

This game pack is the reason we got RunApp(), GetAppRunning(), TerminateApp().
I had the privilege of creating the menu system, only a small part compared to the great work of the game authors, but still a fun little project.

For anyone interested in the mechanics, when a game is started, the menu minimises and uses Sleep() to reduce CPU usage. It detects the end of the game, maximises itself and takes itself out of sleep state. It's a very simple process, but extremely effective.

Why is it listed as DLC to AppGameKit? I would assume they don't require AppGameKit to run.

It is due to the restrictions on related products on Steam. Unfortunately it has to be this way for the moment. Otherwise there would be no link at all to AppGameKit from the game pack.

That means that people who don't already own AppGameKit won't buy the game pack. It clearly states on the page that AppGameKit is needed to run the game pack.

Also, would be nice if it was available for Mac and Linux. If you want to show what's capable with AGK.

Yes, I have already discussed this with the TGC team. It was not the original intention to limit it to AppGameKit owners. I am sure they are working on solving the challenge.

The Game Pack can be found at http://store.steampowered.com/app/468510 and no, there is no source code included! Here is one user review which I think pretty much sums this offering up.

Quote: "Games Pack 1, Apparently no source code, no discussion of what was done or how. As games, they are pretty mediocre. Can't really recommend."

And Lee's response

Quote: "We hear you loud and clear! It was never our intention to include source code, just showcase some great games made with AppGameKit to show what's possible. I have now added extra information to the product page to clearly state no source is available, and I have also reached out to all the authors to see if they would like to share their source code, or write an article on how they created their game. When I get some responses, I will post more news here."

I just purchased the Game Pack and it looks like they did decide to release some of the source code. Now I am much more happy with the purchase

Today I was trying to help someone find the source code for the Game Pack, but I could no longer find it. Last month when I made the post above, I believe the source code was in the DLC folder with the games, but it is no longer there. Maybe it was accidentally removed during the last update??

Back in August, Steve on the Steam forums said this would be fixed in a future update. I just got back around to looking at this, and yes, it is back now. It is located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\App Game Kit 2\DLC\Games Pack 1
Depending on where you installed Steam, if you are using Steam
