I am using Ubuntu 14.04 and AppGameKit is working just fine. I was wondering if anybody has upgraded to 16.04 and are still able run AGK.

Thanks

This was posted in the Steam discussions: https://techpromad.wordpress.com/2016/07/18/getting-appgamekit-to-run-its-game-executables-on-ubuntu-16-04/
I haven't tried it myself though. The discussion can be found at http://steamcommunity.com/app/325180/discussions/0/352788552262454041/

Hope that helps you.

Thanks for the reply adambiser from what I read that is the same problem I had when I tried to run it in Linux Mint. It looks like he found a fix though so I will have to see if the upgrade is worth the trouble. Thanks Again

You're welcome.

When I tried my AGK2 game on various Linux distros, here's what I found: (I think I was using AppGameKit 2.0.19 then)
Worked on: Ubuntu 14.04 and Mint 17.3 both using a DEB package that had libopenal1, libcurl3, libavcodec54, and libavformat54 given as dependencies. I think I added libcurl3 to the others in order to get it to work on Mint 17.3.
Did not work on: SteamOS, Debian 7.10, and Ubuntu 16.04
I haven't had a chance to try things out with 2.0.20 yet. I have a few things to finish before I can get back to it. I'm actually hoping Paul has a chance to remove the need for these dependencies before I get back to it.

Got into Linux to bring new life to a old laptop. I first put mint 18 in it would compile and run but not show the app window. Going to try adding the packages that was recommended from the post you gave a link to. I like Mint better I think it runs faster and smother going by the spine demo.
