Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong.

I have made a small app to test the tier 1 publishing procedures.

I exported it as an APK, sent it to my Android phone, but it won't install.

Any thoughts?

I uploaded the APK to my dropbox from my computer and then used my phone to download it from there.
When that didn't work I then tried using a USB cable direct to my phone and that didn't work either.
Both times I used the Android package installer to try and install the APK. Both times it started, but stopped saying the APK couldn't be installed.

What have you used as your package name? Not sure if this has been resolved, but having numbers in your package name used to cause installation issues... Stick with com.yourcompanyname.appname all alpha...

Have you enabled unknown sources?

Another guess would be lower case only in the package name.

Also, try rebooting your phone.
