Hi all,

For anyone who is interested, I've started a development blog to chart the progress of my games. I hope that by having to keep a blog up to date I'll stay focused and on schedule. Fingers crossed.

As well as showing the various stages of development I hope to share some insights into the ups and downs of coding and game design and share some of my findings with you guys.

You can read my first entry at:https://jimjamsgames.wordpress.com/ and I'll do my best to respond to any questions the blog might raise.

Best,

SC.

That's a really good idea! Bees knees graphics look really goofy and I'm looking forward to playing it!
As from me, I'm spending so much time making levels for my Ball swing android game

What games did you plan to re-create? Also, would you run into any legal issues if you re-create them? Do you need a license, or would the companies just not care at this point?

Thanks,

I've a list of ideas, but Son of Blagger is the only game I want to recreate fully at present. Most of my other ideas will be retro styled.

In many cases the original authors don't mind about copies, but if I create a true copy, I would always try to contact the original developer. It also really does depend on the company, some games concepts are jealously protected, while others are so generic that the idea has no legal protection.

In general, if you're in any doubt at all about the rights to develop an idea, it's best to seek advice and / or contact the original publisher or developer.

Hi SC, just had a look at your blog page and games in googleplay. Very impressed. Didn't realize you had made such a variety of games and the graphics are superb, well done.

Your web page title "JIMJAM Games" in large yellow letters doesn't show fully in my browser, only "JAMS GAM" actually shows. not sure if that is you or me but thought i'd mention.

The layout of your blog is easy to read and tempting. Great job todate.

Hi,

I'm glad you like my games. It makes it worthwhile when I get positive feedback. I actually make a lot of different style of games as you can see, I guess I code what I feel like at the time or something that inspires me.

More to come soon

SC

P.S. Thanks for spotting the logo, I'll take a look at it.

Well, it hasn't quite been a month but nearly.

The real, paid world keeps getting in the way, but for anyone who is interested, I've jumped back into development blogs.

I hope that they are useful to some of you.
