Now that we can render camera to an image, the next logical step in the quest for Augmented Reality will be pattern tracking. Would be fantastic if someone come up with a set of functions in T1 to do something similar to this: http://xanthippi.ceid.upatras.gr/people/evangelidis/arma/, or even better if Paul can build in a set of AR commands for the next release

I'd do it myself, but I have other projects to finish first.

Would be cool to read barcodes and IR labels too, imagine the fun you could have, 90's style with the barcode battles and augmented reality - like Pokémon GO but on your kitchen table, using the monster that was hiding in your Cornflakes barcode.
The code is dark and full of errors

Sounds for me like Blur + Sobel and a bunch of other shader ; )
For good performance you'll need shader for the first few steps to do feature tracking

Using AGKv2 Tier1

I thought the same about setting camera to an image and playing video to image, but look what we just got (almost... looks like there's some issues with playvidtoimage in Windows)!
