I thought there was a command for this but I can't find one.

Sprites are 2D, I'm not sure what the question is?
Do you mean setSpriteDepth()?
What are you trying to do, there may be another way.

I want my sprite to be drawn on top of the 2D drawing commands.

PasteSprite should have the desired effect. Draw your 2D, then call paste sprite to, well paste the sprite on top.
