I just took a quick look at the Unicode example program and notice the fps was only hitting 52-53 fps, with the sync rate set to 60. I did a small panic fart thinking this may be due to some new massive truetype or unicode overhead, but if I comment out the "setSyncRate(60,0)" line, the FPS goes to 60. Is this a bug?

I get 60fps when using SetSyncRate(60,0) so I'm not sure what's happening. What do you get if you use a higher value than 60, or try SetVSync(1) without setting a rate

SetVSync(1) without setting a rate gives 60 FPS. Setting a syncreate with mode 1 appears to work fine too (i.e. SetSyncRate(60,1) = 60fps).

SetSyncRate(80,0) = 64fps
SetSyncRate(70,0) = 64fps
SetSyncRate(50,0) = 32fps
SetSyncRate(61,0) = 55fps

It's strange, but no show stopper.

That would suggest the Sleep interval on your machine is set quite high or isn't very accurate, what OS are you using?

This one is Windows 10 (in work right now). I'll test it again when I get home. Win 7 Pro at home.

Tested at home, and FPS is fine, so looks like a Win 10 sleep interval issue.

I noticed that my current game (which is currently only a water shader and a terrain shader) only runs at about 60ish fps, when in actual fact this laptop should be running in the hundreds of fps.
Also in windows 10, with a 2.7GHz i7 with 8GB ram. My note 3 runs the game at 48fps so something id definitely up.

*EDIT*
My old as hell 1.3Ghz AMD A8 laptop runs it at about 80fps. Also windows 10. (The AMD lappy runs @ 1366x768, and the i7 lappy @ 1920x1080. Matching resolutions doesn't help. )
