Just wondering if anyone else is having problems exporting from 3ds Max 5. No matter what format I export the model (3DS or Pandasoft .X), everytime I try to load it into DBP the program automatically quits. No explanation or anything.

Does this happen to anyone else? Or if it doesn't, do you need to do anything 'special' when exporting from Max?

Edit: Ok, narrowed it down somewhat. It happens as soon as I texture it with a BMP file. The object is just a cube made it max, exported to 3DS. Worked fine. Added a BMP texture and exported. DBP quit straight away.

My Code is:

And it's just a simple 128x128 BMP made in PSP. Strangely this has never happened to me before (although it's been a while since I've used DBP). I'm texturing it in Max by loading it into the Material editor then dragging it onto the object.

What's going on? Anyone? Please. lol

Edit 2: Thank lord I've got the .X files working now but the problem still exists with 3DS. I guess it doesn't matter too much now, but I'm still confused why it's happening.

Actually, I have 3dsmax 4.2 and I can load 3ds files into my game perfectly. However, when i tried to set the 3ds object to polygon collision, the game would quit without an error or anything . Then I got the update for DBPro and it loaded and ran fine. The polygon collision stuck when it was suppost to slide but it still loaded. maybe try to get an updated version of DBPro(If you already dont have it ). Other then that, I cant help you, sorry and good luck getting it to work

I am the great cornholio. Take me to your TP!
