I think that there should be a board just for Tier2 discussion.
There is a lot to discuss about Tier2 and would be come a wealth
of knowledge that can be reviewed easier for Teir2 users and those
wanting to know more about Tier2.

For example DBPro had separate boards for the GDK and GDK .Net
The coffee is lovely dark and deep,and I have code to write before I sleep.

+1 I agree
Running Windows 7 Home, 64 bit, 8 GB ram, Athlon II X2 255, ATI Radeon HD 4200. Using AGK2 Tier 1.

One failure I have seen so far is many of us are getting red crossed images when loading images for sprites

cause they are doing

spriteimg = agk::loadimage( pathfilename )
sprite = agk::createsprite ( spriteimg )

wrong.... It should be simply

int sprite
sprite = agk : : createsprite ( agk : : loadimage ( pathfilename ) )

I think TGC should merge ALL of the platform-specific AppGameKit boards into a single "Tier 2" board. Most of those boards only get a dozen or so posts a year and I've seen people post simple Tier 1 questions on some of them thinking that's where they should ask (i.e., one I just recently responded to in iOS would've been answered right away in AppGameKit Product Chat, but it went unanswered for two months since it was in an obscure board nobody really checks).

Then people could still classify their posts accordingly such as [IOS] or [ANDROID]. Blackkberry is not a platform anymore and only received a single (spam) post in the past year. Mac has had 7 threads in 2016. Etc...

The less boards and clutter the better, in my opinion. Similarly, I don't see the usefulness in Rick creating half a dozen different Slack chat channels when there are only 32 people in total that have partaken in that chat system, and only a message or few gets posted every day anywhere in that chat. I'm still not sure of the practical purpose of splitting the product chat into Newcomers Corner as well, since the main forum is still where most questions are asked and answered and it worked fine for years. Sometimes it seems TGC goes overboard with sub-forums.

I thnk this is the right direction, but I would also go a step further and have one board with a categorisation prefix.
There used to be a board for general programming talk, where you selected the language and it became part of the title. For example, it would look like this...

[T1] How do I load an image?

or

[T2] How do I load an Image?

or

[T1/T2] How do I load an image?

which allows users of both tiers to cross-pollenate each Tier with extra knowledge.

@BatVink: That idea gets my vote.
It would be easy to populate the existing post titles with a prefix when merging the boards too.

Yes, exactly. It`s hard to find Tier2 references in this board, because 90% is Tier1.
Even with an advanced google search I keep getting bad results.
In fact, I am also missing some Tier2 guides, like how to pass data from/to Java to/from NDK in order to extend the agk:: set.

The best place would be a Tier2 board. +1
