Hi,

We're working hard to improve AppGameKit during 2017. We want to keep giving you new features, fixes, tutorials, improved help and so on.
With AppGameKit we feel we have a good product that can evolve into a great product and we need our community's help to spread the word. There are some websites where you can up vote AppGameKit to help push it's visibility to attract new users.
You can also earn new badges if you vote our products up!

IndieDB
We have a game engine entry for AppGameKit on IndieDB. Can we ask you to give it a vote here;
AppGameKit on IndieDB

Slant
AppGameKit features on a number of charts on this user recomendation site. With your extra up votes we're sure to see AppGameKit rise higher in many of them. We have already just hit #1 in one of these.

What are the best 2D game engines?

What are the best 2D game engines for Android?

What is the best programming language to learn first?

What are the best game engines for beginners and non-programmers?

What are the best 3D game engines?

We'll be adding new Forum badges this week and will award these to any TGC users who up vote AppGameKit.

Thanks for your support, it all helps!

Hey Rick!

I've recommend it on IndieDB, bringing up the total rank for AppGameKit to 9.3 community average total!

http://www.indiedb.com/engines/app-game-kit/reviews#reviewsbrowse

While its one of the products I use the least, its certainly one of the ones i recommend most to my friends and colleagues.

Will this badge be only visible here and not on the Game Guru's forums? Not a huge deal just curious I jump back and forth between the two forums.

I just recommended GameGuru and added a Pro on Slant (https://www.slant.co/topics/5880/viewpoints/1/~pre-built-no-source-game-engines-for-a-beginner-that-has-no-programing-experience-and-uses-a-low-end-compute~gameguru), and gave 10/10 on IndieDB (with review).

2 more badges for me What others can I get?

Um, I think you put the wrong badge for Slant. My vote was for AppGameKit, not GameGuru, since I have not had a chance to try GameGuru yet. I have it, just haven't gotten around to it.

I have been talking about how great AGK2 is a lot. On the Unity forum (surprised they didn't boot me out but I didn't do it in a spamming way... actually I wasn't trying to market it at all for that matter... I was just telling folks this is what I am using now and told them why), on GameJolt in the descriptions of my games and in the descriptions of the videos I make for my YT game videos.

And just now I went to Slant specifically to post this on the What Are The Best 2D Engines? page.

What the heck? I just checked that page and someone has edited my post. ha ha. They didn't remove anything just changed where I used "I" and "me" to "you".

I up voted for AppGameKit on Slant and IndieDB. Here's the review I left.

Quote: "For a game engine using the basic language I think the amount of detail and helpfulness in the system really does make game creation easier. I'm just learning the language myself. But have been pleasantly surprised on many occasions when I see the small touches that go into solving little problems that I would have normally had to have solved on my own in the past. In particular, I noticed that the virtual joystick function seamlessly switches to accelorometer on a cell phone and on a PC it uses the keyboard. Not only that, but it changes state from direction to direction gradually over time so the value returned from the method will gradually accelerate and decelerate over time. Much nicer than the abrupt start and stop that I'm accustom to such a function returning."
