Hi everyone,

Just wanted to drop a quick hello in as I've only just started using AppGameKit - even though I picked it up in a Steam sale ages ago!!

I've had a little play around tonight just tweaking and exporting a few of the example projects to my phone and OUYA - and I've been really impressed with how smooth the apps work from AGK.

I've played around with a few bits of gamemaker software over the years (3DRad, Construct 2, something I can't remember from a ZX Spectrum!!) and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can get out of this too. It's nice to see there seems to be an active community around the software, so hope to get involved as much as I can over my time here.

Cheers.

Welcome! I only just started using AppGameKit a couple of months ago but am very impressed with it. I've used many different game-oriented programming languages and game engines and honestly AppGameKit is the best thing I have found in a decade or more.

I think you'll have a lot of fun writing games with AppGameKit!

It's always nice to see new faces here, welcome to the best game development forum there is

I think it might have been AGD on the ZX Spectrum... that's a great little engine, made 2 games with it (Dead Flesh Boy and Super 48k Box) - it's great how active the Speccy community still is, and how much they appreciate new games to play.
The code is dark and full of errors

Thanks again everyone.

I think it may indeed have been AGD on the Spectrum Van B - it was a very long time ago!!

I think while I get used to AppGameKit I'm going to concentrate on replicating something I created in Construct 2 but was never happy with how it played on mobile:

This should give me opportunity to run through some of the basics and get an actual 'game' put together while learning the software.
