Dark GDK / Cloggy's d3dDot3D() ; won't appear??

This is usually due to the order of which commands are placed, but I'm stuck on this one. This program compiles, runs and seems to work except show a 3D scene OR show the 3D dot on the screen. What's the usual culprit thanks.

I'm not a GDK user, but I think you have to call d3dInit() to after the display mode is set.
