Dear all (especially Germans!),

I think about to create a German speaking AppGameKit forum. Are there any Germans here beside Mike and me and would you (Germans) think about to join? Would it make sense for you at all? Of course it would be with a domain, no advertisements and that stuff. Obviously there should be kind of tutorials and all that stuff as well which would be added over time.

@TGC staff: Would that be fine for you to have something like "AGK" in the name?

Markus and Jambo are German I think.
Running Windows 7 Home, 64 bit, 8 GB ram, Athlon II X2 255, ATI Radeon HD 4200. Using AGK2 Tier 1.

We had one, but it went down some time ago.
darkbasic.de see wayback machine.
It went down for practical reasons - no interaction at all for some years, although it was popular in dbc/dbp ages.
So, I don't think that a special german board would be required now.

Let's focus our potential here.
This place is the best ressource for AppGameKit - since always.

I understand. I don't see it as a shifting focus. Of course main power is here, but there's always somehow the need for a native community. At least for Monkey it somehow worked out but yeah I know, most programmers are quite fluent in English anyway so...

Berlin is like the furthest point in Germany for me...OK not really, but I would prefer Paris as destination for that amount of travel time
+1 for a meet up in Aachen ... maybe Cologne

GamesCom in Köln oder was?

Wie sieht denn das mit alten PureBasic Leuten hier aus und vielleicht Treffen am Bodensee bei einem Retro-MeetUp?

Maybe some of the PureBasic, DarkBasic, BlitzBasic, FreeBasic, QBasic, SpeedBasic, etc. Basic people could als be interessted to meet for a beer or two.

Da fällt mir immer irgendwas ein mit Bit und Byte. Have a "byte" of pizza and a Bit

Mr. Bit und KByte.

Nice,
Gamescom:
Wednesday, 23 August 2017
Thursday, 24 August 2017
Friday, 25 August 2017
Saturday, 26 August 2017

I imagine it like:
Camping at some place in Cologne and reserve a little part for a few AppGameKit people on the Friday to Saturday or Saturday to Sunday for example
I could bring a table, benches and a grill
Just an Idea

If that is to happen there must be more people who confirm it clearly
And we should start a new thread for it in the Geek Culture section

Hi there,

I'm Ekki from Bruchsal, near Karlsruhe.
In my spare free time, I try to migrate one of my games to mobile devices, which I originally developed 1986 for the ATARI XL.
Though I'm already a pretty old guy, I stayed young in spirit and didn't forget, where and when I began with coding.
Thus, I'm also a member of RetroGames Association (RetroGames.e.V. Karlsruhe, www.retrogames.info).

I think, I could organize an AppGameKit meeting at the association building in Karlsruhe, may be in autumn.
Having coding sessions, playing the original Arcade machines and pinballs, eating Pizza etc.

Kind regards,
Ekki

I have another nice place we could meet at.
I live 15min from PixelLand/KenneyLand...the dude who makes the awesome Asset packs
I once visited him and he said I could bring friends... and I think thats the purpose of PixelLand...so we could meet there for half a day !?
I'm sure I can make that happen if you guys want to

Another Idea is, we occupy the NRW Game Dev Meetup
