Executive summary:
Cross platform mobile ads using Smart Banner and AdMob are broken. So I have to use small banner, which mostly works but is not really located at bottom center most of the time. So banner ads needs lots of fixing, with pretty please..
Details:
I use the following code to set the ads up:
smart banner: CreateAdvert( 5, 1, 2, 0 )
small banner: CreateAdvert( 0, 1, 2, 0 )

iPad mini (old device), landscape mode, small banner: Not even near the bottom, way too high. Very small due to the fixed size vs larger screen. Previously I have also tried on a bigger iPad and naturally this is even tinier there. So need bigger, which smart banner should do. Also I think this should be at bottom of screen..
iPad mini (old device), landscape mode, smart banner: Way off to the right, part of the ad is even cut off. Again, too high as well.
iPhoneSE, landscape mode, small banner: Works fine. Because the screen is small so the size seems to fit reasonably well. But not scalable to a general solution. Also good that it is at bottom and center as requested.
iPhone SE, landscape mode, smart banner: Too much to the right, ad is cut. Also a margin to the bottom is there again. Not so big and comparing to the small banner, the ad is that much smaller so not sure if that has some effect.
Android (Nexus 5) phone, landscape mode, small banner: Reasonably good but still not at the bottom of screen. Compare to the iPhone version, which is at the bottom of the screen as expected.
Android (Nexus 5) phone, landscape mode, smart banner: AD DOES NOT APPEAR AT ALL.
iPad mini (old device), portrait mode, small banner: Small at the very bottom. So as expected. Too small for bigger device but at least works as expected.
iPad mini (old device), portrait mode, smart banner: Too low, too much to the right. Ad is cut so bad it makes the whole app look ridiculous.
iPhoneSE, portrait mode, small banner: It is at the bottom. Fills it too. Brilliant. This is how it should be.
iPhone SE, portrait mode, smart banner: Same as small banner in this configuration. Brilliant again.
Android (Nexus 5) phone, portrait mode, small banner: Only slightly too much to the right. Annoying but at least its at the bottom and visible.

Unfortunately my Android tablets are broken, missing a charger, or whatever. So cannot get screenshots from those. Would be also useful to try with a bigger iPad. But no access to that right now. But you should get the idea though and be able to test these with the different device types..
