Hi all,

I've written a simple, still WIP command line tool for generating height maps. It generates simple RGB images with blue, green, brown and white regions. I might add grayscale option for it later.

I've built 64-bit Mac, Linux and Windows binaries for it, and I programmed it in Go. So if this thread violates forum rules, I can post it in more general board.

The binaries in the provided zip file. Cheers!

A height map tool is really handy.

When I was coding in gdk I downloaded real world terrain maps from one of the NASA sites
they were very handy and gdk made them easy to implement, the scales needed a little tuning.

I haven't tried 3d in agk so I'm not sure how the height maps would be implemented and if they
even can be used atm. But it could help with terraforming random maps between levels if it was
a library we could call from our own agk programs.

Just a thought as there are many good free height map generators around with a gui , but a library
we could use and call from our own software would be a real GEM

Keep Up The GOOD WORK
