Does anyone have any recent experience in successfully integrating Android Push Notifications?

I'm not convinced that this is working anymore as the service AppGameKit uses was deprecated 3 years ago ( GCMIntentService extends GCMBaseIntentService ), so maybe it's no longer supported.

I believe it should be upgraded to this system: https://developers.google.com/android/reference/com/google/android/gms/gcm/GcmListenerService

It worked for me few versions ago but I will give it a try as soon as possible
