Does the Raspberry Pi version include any support for UART communication or any type of GPIO standard communication I2C, SPI, or UART?

Not currently no - only support for digital read/write of GPIO pins. No PWM, and no serial coms. Which do gimp AppGameKit somewhat with regards to being used in your typical Pi hardware projects.

You can however through plug-ins write your own in your favourite systems-language (read: C, C++, Go or Rust). However this only applies to 64bit linux, and guess what? Yes, entirely correct, none of the Raspbian kernels are 64bit. Which is a bit odd.
