When i was testing my game a weird thing started happening, the life counter text image changed into my current weapon's crosshair,
and when i was near a door, the life counter text changed into the "press enter to use" text but downscaled to fit the resolution of the life text image.
Also, when i didn't have a weapon equipped, a texture of a shotgun shell has replaced the life text, but i forgot to take a screenshot of that..
