It seems the DM's have been fixed. Might be a good idea to check up the top of the forum and see if you have any messages

There's also a new little alert icon but it doesn't appear to be working yet (or perhaps only for new messages?)

Yes PMs are now fixed, it is long overdue sorry for the delay.

The new notification system top right will alert you to new messages (ones sent before the system went live won't appear) and also to new posts in threads you are subscribed to, it is still WIP.

got notify for some older messages.

for any reason delete message did not work since a long time.

Yes this is very good. For me the sending & receiving of messages always worked but the notification at the top stopped working quite a while back. Great to have the indicator.
