For those that want to try with Linux and not install it could use the live version
Knoppix
http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html and then could possibly try your game

I recommend the DVD live version but it is quite large and works on most pcs Once burnt to dvd/cd just place in drive
and power up your machine. (may have to go in bios if you machine boot order aint dvd/cd first) Should then be able
to install programs but may also need to look at what they call knoppix cheat codes as some features are off by default
but Knoppix I truly believe is the best live version of a Linux Os there is and completely free. Its very similar to windows
to use but loads the whole os into memory so the more memory you got the faster it works, but still will work on older
machines but may be best on older machines if you use the live cd version

Hi. I tried it on Linux Mint 18.3.
It works ok as far as I can tell except there is no sound.
I remember I had to install some additional packages to get AppGameKit applications to run years ago but I can't remember wich ones (I found the answer on this forum though).
I think it's best to try it with a clean install but I'm not to keen on doing that. Sorry.

Thanks everyone…
I wonder if it is as simple as Linux wants ogg sound ?
Iam currently using wav files and could be that agk uses drivers that Linux then nead to install.
Then do i know it works at least but no sound.

I think it was
"sudo apt install libcurl3" from this thread https://forum.thegamecreators.com/thread/222012
and/or
"sudo apt-get install libopenal-dev" from this thread https://forum.thegamecreators.com/thread/218495

Regarding the sound issue;
If I copy the LinuxPlayer64 file into the Goork folder then I get sound but not if I rename it to something else (like Goork).
The LinuxPlayer32 file does not make any sound.
Also if I copy a linux executable from one of my own AppGameKit projects into the Goork folder I get sound but not if I rename it.
Strange...

I did some more testing on the sound issue and it seems it's my sound card configuration that cause the problem.
I have two sound cards in my PC, one internal on the motherboard and one external firewire card for music production.
If I disable the firewire card and only use the internal card then the sound works as intended.

forgive me, but what money is in 2D stuff anymore unless sell games on the Japanese market - they scream out for genres like this.
