Is there something special that needs to be done?

If I load an object with bones I get 0. If I load an object without bones it returns the correct size.

I can't immediately see anything in the code that would cause this, the size values are based on the mesh vertices, although they may not be where you expect since the bones could deform them. The size values are based on the undeformed mesh.
