Any progress on making the IDE on the MAC support Retina? The way it is now, I get a headache after looking at the blurry fonts in the AppGameKit editor. Unity3d went through this transition several years ago. For a long time the Unity IDE was not Retina enabled, and as soon as they came out with Retina support for the code editor, I remember them saying the number of Mac developers shot way up.

The IDE is built on Geany (but uses a much older build of it). Can you download the latest vanilla version of Geany (1.33) and see if that exhibits the same issue?

https://www.geany.org/download/releases

AGK uses Geany 1.24.1 from 2014. The latest is built on GTK3 which I believe renders high DPI much better.

A few people reported similar issues with Geany in general, on Windows at least. Discussed here:

https://github.com/geany/geany/issues/692

and

https://github.com/geany/geany/issues/1655

Geany 1.33 looks great on Mac Retina. Putting the two side-by-side looking at the same file, you can really see the difference in text clarity between the two. Hopefully a version of AppGameKit can leverage Geany 1.33+ in the near future!

Thanks for the info.
