So I opened an old project last night, that previously worked fine, and got an error reading a TEXT file. It seems that the FileEOF command was the issue, and no longer seems to work. Not had time to test it in a new program yet, but does anyone else use this, or has anyone else noticed an issue?

Could you post some example code? I tried FileEOF example in the help files and it worked fine.

I'll have another play around with it later as I've not had time yet, but it's odd......the program worked fine last time it ran, though it was a couple of updates ago, and nothing has changed.

Will see if I can figure out why this one is failing.

I would double check the folder you're trying to open the file from.

Maybe with UTF8 or so, there could be that the EOF-Terminator is in the file before the file is really at the end. I had this problem years ago in another language, where I created myself the binary data and read it again. To avoid that, I used the filesize and read byte by byte.

Hmmmm.....I forgot to look. The thing that got me is this is a project that worked fine about 6 months ago, and none of the files changed....but now that commands fails. And when I say fails, I mean it closes the app without warning, not an error message or anything.

Will try another look later.
