Hi forum dwellers,

Recently we had a handful of trusted developers test and give us feedback on the current dev build. We'd like to extend the test to another 100 more users.

If you would like to try out the current development version of AppGameKit Studio simply sign up here;

Register to try the AppGameKit Studio Development

Be quick, first come, first served!

If you're one of the first 100 we'll be in touch early next week with more details.

@MikeHart

I can say I got my copy

I had one oddity with the full-screen mode to fix once I set it
but after that no problems

the one thing missing from it is the ability to open the folder that the project is in
like the original editor.

@Resourceful ,
Just right click on the project and select "Open In Explorer"

@Qube_ ,
There are already so many beta testers so i dont believe Rick will take in more, but i think he will include a beta version you can download if/when you pre-order, and March is getting near so ...

@MikeHart ,
I believe the e-mail was sent out Monday or Tuesday , perhaps check your spam folder ?

Not one of the 100+ testers but I like the help pages on the right of the IDE, that will save loads of time from having to load up the bookmark in your browser.

Watched the sneak peak video and the media folder at the bottom looks like it might get quite busy and just from the video alone I couldn't see a way to group or even a quick way to search for particular assets.

Can AppGameKit Studio please allow nested file inserts. So an #insert file in your main.agc that also has #insert lines in that file. It would make it easier to build and share/re-use librarys and not have to have all of the library in the one file.

Does it allow you to use GitHub? I know geany has a github plugin but I couldn't get it to work on the Mac. Would be interesting to know if Stuidio has this or will have this in the future?

Kevin,

You could always just press F1 over a command, opened right to the page of the help file for that command. What were you book marking?

Sometimes i don't know what command i need to be looking for so i won't necessarily have a command to F1. I keep the category index page bookmarked so I can go looking for a command when i need to

Ah I see. Yeah I get that sometimes, i generally just hit F1 then click the index button.

One of the pages I visit most often is probably the scancode page in guides to be honest....but it's not unusual for me to have a dozen or more pages open.

I've set up all the scan codes as constants in a common.agc file that I include in each of my projects, now I just refer to them by ENUM_KEY_A, ENUM_KEY_ESC, and so on
