My debugger mode just quit working on my project. Not sure what to do. It just sits on the screen - I have deleted all break points, so its not on a break point. The window also seems to have gotten really distorted for some reason. It runs normal when ran in Run Build mode.

Where is the debugger hidden folder at? I know in the past I have picked stuff up in debugger mode that normal run mode does not pick up.

Any help? Thanks.

Thats an odd one.

Please send a screen shot ( you have Good Man LOL) - do you have any heavy processes running in the background

Please save what you doing and reboot your system and try again

I dont want to you show your full app

So

Create a new project and broadcast it - i assume that pic is on a broadcast

Does that work
Yes - then its your current app your working with
No - then its the IDE

For some reason the following is causing an infinite loop in debug mode. Its been there for months and months...

There she blows - why put anything like that in your apps for.

You got nothing to make getdevicewidth go above getdevicehieght

Unless your testing different phones and / or tablets resolutions

Remove that code to get you working.

Whats your ultimate goal there?

just stick with the do sync loop without trying to be cleverer bud

Because on iPhones that is needed to get the orientation correct. I don't just throw junk in that I don't need.

The fact is this works in Run Mode and should also work in Debug mode, which it has done until today. I feel confident the debug mode uses some sort of properties that is different than the windows.dat file found in AGKApps sub-folders, because this is not my first run-in with very odd debug behavior. Specifically, picking up files that Run mode does not have in any directory including the AGKApps sub-folders, yet I created them in Debug mode(save files, etc).

I should not have fudge my code just to work in debug mode, because some obscure setting was inadvertently changed. I'd just like to know where that folder is so I can delete the files.

I realise this might be a bug or some sort of anomaly but maybe you could try this;
1. Clear out the C:\Users\your_id\AppData\Local\AGKApps\your_app folder
2. Uninstall/reinstall AGK
3. Try GetWindowWidth/Height instead of GetDeviceWidth/Height

Dammmm thats a basic reinstall... I been working with AppGameKit for 3 years with no issues what so ever.

Thats a drastic affair and the easy option - but then what if it stilll doesnt work?

I've cleared out the AGKApps which is what caused this. Because for some reason my game window will randomly appear somewhere else on the screen(maybe because I use two monitors I dont know). So I have to periodically delete the windows.dat file to reset it. This time it somehow triggered this behavior.

Yeah. It would be nice to have a switch or something where you could say "Don't use the /users path use the current path"

It seems like you experienced this before Blin0K and I like the way your approaching things to guide people in the right direction

Awesome

Yes, there is another folder that AppGameKit writes to. It looks like when you run the debugger(and possible the broadcast?) the files go to AGKApps/Windows/"Project Name". I had over 10GB of files there just from images that I eventually took out of my main project.
Deleting everything there fixed my debugger issues. This really should be documented somewhere, as it explains why when I deleted my files in the main project it still showed up in Debugger mode.
