Hi! I've just "exported" one of my characters from paper to
computer... I know that it didn't turn out to well, but it's
the "clothing-style" I was after and not the actual chara...

Since me and my friend are making a game with much snow, we
need characters with much clothes. I tried to keep that greenland/
northern sweden style, but I'm not sure if I suceeded...

Now what do you think?

solid construction and balanced shape and harmony of weight.

good technique its almost a blend of european folk tale and japanese manga.

Perhaps some more shots or one from the side as well in case these are shots for modelling in case its to do with 3d, instead of 2d sprite.s

plus im a softy for artwork from sweeden and norway

Thanks... I've just made a 3d model (though I'm not finished as
you may see) and it took less time than I excpected .

As you may have noticed, there is no head yet and the textures are
a bit "out of order" (I basically copied the front to the back),
but I'll be back soon with a finished character...

Oh yeah... I'm kinda proud of it since, it's quite low-poly
(638 face to be exact)...

Personally I like the mono tone pic myself, very Final Fantasy Tactics.

I've lost 25lb playing Dance Dance Revolution, no really!

Ugh... thanks! I made the head and added some details to make it
look a bit smoother. Polycount is now about 1250, but after some
adding, deleting and fixing, I'll try to reach about 1000 polys...

Oh yeah, the textures are still messy, but I'll make a "real" one
when I'm bored .

I managed to lower the polycount to about 1040 polys... that should
do it, right? Now comes the hardest part... texturing .

Btw, what do you think of the model so far?

At_The_Gates, how long it took you to do that because that's pretty nice work you've done. What program did you used? Those characters reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics by the way (which is cool by the way.) I think your missing a mouth and a nose or is supposed to be that way?

Thanks! It is textured, but I'm not happy with the textures, so I'm
doing new ones... and if I add a nose, it'll add more polys, so I
didn't bother to make one...

looks pretty good. The legs are a bit far apart though.
