Is it possible for shadows to get lighter if an object alpha is set with SetObjectColorAlpha? So for example if an object is set to fade out to nothing using an alpha tween, could the shadow also gradually fade to nothing based on the objects alpha setting? Thanks.

That sounds like it would need a shader, and prob a little to complex for the standard shader used

Normally you just have the distance of the occluder in you shadow map. But you could also render the distance and alpha value or maybe also the color of the ...lets say stained glass(somehow decoded into the four color channels). Take my shadow shader and change it like you want.
