Still got a lot to do with it yet and it's all tied up in the main code. When I've finished with it, it will be instantiable as there will need to be multiples. There's a lot more to add to this yet.
Next version will have mach diamonds, explosions and positional sound hopefully.

Still improving the missile system.

Got most of what I thought I'd get done this round.
Still a lot more tweaking and improving to do.

Modifiable telemetry fidelity + awesome explosion
Better on-board guidance will look at projected target position, rather than actual position, hence the first "miss". Once the missile is on the tail of the moving target however, there's less variance.

Haha! I'm using videos of Israel's Iron Dome missile system to model the behaviour.
This is the air-to-air missile, but for my game I will also make a ship launched tomahawk.

The missiles are now working with track-ahead AI now, so can even hit a moving target from side on.

Overlay this on a video and some people may get fooled into thinking a real attack happened.

I'll keep the Vatican in mind

In the mean time, some great progress. I've spent a lot of time on this to get it just so. As a side benefit, I made a great UV animator for the final explosion - I'd already used it in my Robotron 3D effort, but it's pretty good here.
That 100 frame realistic explosion animation is in 300Kb and on a single plane.

All the details are in the youtube description, but it's getting pretty realistic now. I'll soon be done with this missile system for the time being.
