How do you check if a DWORD variable has been initialized?

I want to check if a DWORD variable type has been initialized, or is not null, but DBPRo does not allow a statement like this when CForeColor is of type DWORD:

or like this

Changing the variable type is not an option.

I figured it out. Actually checking if DWORD variable = 0 works. I was just doing something else wrong. Cheers.
