I am making a 3D game and when I load my .obj models into Appgamekit, my models show up white and have none of the colors that I put in with the modeling program I used. I attached my .obj model, I also attached the .mtl fill, and a photo of what the model was supposed to look like. . Thus, could someone tell me how to get the colors to show with the model. I used regular RGB colors and not UV.

EN

P.S. I wish that there was an easy way to just load models and their colors with just one command/function. Just my wishlist.

the easiest way is to use this tool https://forum.thegamecreators.com/thread/223393 then use the newly created object in agk
and use the setobjectimage command with the tiny image that the program created

back up your objects
i think the obj has to be saved as an object and not a scene of objects
i also think objects created with planes can be troublesome
you may want to have each wall from your example saved seperately as an object that will prevent collision problems later
goodluck

Texture with am image pallet, scale your UV islands to 0.01 and drag the tiny island over the color you want then use that image in AGK.

Check out this video for low poly modeling in Blender (and give him a sub he has lots of useful tips)

The problem is when imported into AppGameKit every thing looks flat and bland, use the shades in the image pallet for slight changes on the surfaces of your objects to give them some definition else for example, your piano will just look like a brown blob, use dark brown on the front faces, slightly darker on the top and a slightly lighter shade for the sides.

On subject, does anyone have a "Cavity" shader??

Fubarpk and PartTimeCoder, thanks! I figured how to do what I needed in a program called Wings3D. In Wings3D, the object loads with the shadows, shaders and everything. I even made a YouTube video tutorial about how I did it in case somebody else has this question. Here's YouTube video:

what do you export them as, because the color information with obj files is in the mtl (material) file
