Just wondering what wacky or very difficult things you guys have managed to do in Halo...

I've:

--Gotten a Warthog positioned inside a Blood Gulch base so I can fire outside without being hurt from that direction
--Gotten a Warthog completely inside the Blood Gulch base and sat it on the flag
--Blocked off the teleporters with vehicles
--Found the sniper spot in Blood Gulch
--Done a nine-flip in midair and landed properly
--Hit a swerving Banshee from across the map with an RPG shell (sheer luck really)
--Got a Warthog into a tree (while I was in it) (until it fell down again)

--Mouse: Famous (Avatarless) Fighting Furball

I am the chainsaw paladin.

Inside the base? Thats easy

Quote: "--Gotten a Warthog completely inside the Blood Gulch base and sat it on the flag"

Never play capture the flag, but getting them in isnt that hard.

Quote: "--Blocked off the teleporters with vehicles"

Do this all the time, but it comes back to bite me

Quote: "--Found the sniper spot in Blood Gulch"

Where!! I have looked but never found! I think I may have found it. If you are at the blue base, looking at the red base, on the right hand side there is an area where you can scale the wall and get quite high. Is that it?

Quote: "--Done a nine-flip in midair and landed properly"

Sweet

Quote: "--Hit a swerving Banshee from across the map with an RPG shell (sheer luck really)"

Yep, that would be sweet

Quote: "--Got a Warthog into a tree (while I was in it) (until it fell down again)"

Hah that would be cool

Things Ive done...

In Blood Gulch, got all the vehicles (cept the tanks) into one base, parked nicely

Played "Catch the Rocket" lol lots of fun

Cant think of much else... Awesome game tho

i did all of the following with my friend, co-op on the XBOX

on the second level (1st level on the Halo) i have managed to get the warthog to the starting point

i have gotten on the highest point in the 2nd level.

blasted about 50+ bodies into the air, then watch them all rain down around me.(dont know if some of the corpses disapeer tho)

skipped half the level on the first snow level took more time tring to get it pulled off then i wouldve just doing it normal.

i have blasted the warthog off the ground doing at LEAST 10 flips (no one in it survived)

almost mannaged (SO FRIGGEN CLOSE) to land safely on the bottom of a pit (ride of the cliffs on the 2nd level), i KNOW its possible, just cant get in the warthog fast enough...

i could go on forever, but i cant think of em all, i havnt played that game in so long. i dont like the xbox vir anymore. ever since i got the PC vir and playing quake and unreal, that game is SO SLOW!!

-- Watched the first sence of The Matrix acted out with Halo's Internet Muliplayer mode (in sync with the audio of the mobie) by the the beta testers of the internet muliplayers

i've:

chucked a frag grenade halfway across blood gulch -- and hit and killed my target

driven a warthog up the wall i blood gulch (i think this is a common one)

managed to lure a banshee about three rooms into the tunnels in the mission where you blow up the reactors

fallen through the island level (i just somehow fell through the ground on the way to fight the hunters in the big circle place) and landed in the next level. woooooow

i've done some other stuff but it's all pretty common and not that amazing

I fell through the ground in one of the snow levels. It happened when my friend ran me over with the tank I found out that the background is a light grey!

My greatest achivement was getting in the cliff thing way high up that the banshe cant go up to in blood gultch. its this rock thing coming off of the side and its a great sniping spot!

You can't fly to it head on becasue its to high, but if you back up to it you can jump out and your banshee will fall

wik-> yup thats the sniping spot

HZense-> If you have a new video card, it actually might run better at 1024x768 than 640x480 (it does with me); try it.

i have done pretty much all of the above, not fallen through and landed on the next level but i have fallen through,
i have also got all the vehicles except the tank(still working on that) ontop of the bloodgulch base at the same time, same goes for inside it. i have not taken out a banshee with the rocket launcher from all the way across the bloodgulch map or taken someone out with a gren from that distance but i don't play on a server with banshees usually, i have had four ghosts in the base surrounding the flag so no-one could get it, had every vehicle in the map that would fit (no tanks) inside the main area of the bloodgulch base,
too many to think of just now

[edit]:
oh, and a good tip for when you are fighting the flood, if they are all crowded behind a door trying to get through then place a grenade next to the door and stand back, it usually kills them through the door, you can also kill the through the door if you have a long weapon (eg. the sniper rifle), it goes through the door and then the bullet is through when you fire it and free to hit anyone on the other side.

if you haven't already, you should definately watch the www.redvsblue.com videos. It's not as much as game video as a tv-series acted out in halo. and it's funny too. Plus the storyline is continuos, lasts all season!

there's a really funny halo vid but it has rather rude language(the are basically acting out a song)
http://www.lochviewwest.plus.com/Asshole.wmv
if you don't mind the language it's worth the watch.

I only join games with <75 lag. Which means 4-6 players. I like it that way anyways-- individual skill matters a *lot* more. But the lag is pretty bad, compared to other games.

i play it on da x box, but i've done loads of things, almost everything listed, cept for falling through levels, and doing that 9 flip in the air.... but, ever gotten the warthog ontop of the bloodgulch base? by driving it into a well placed scorpian and flying onto the roof. and getting all the ghosts ontop of the base, thats always fun, and to do tricks with a ghost off a scorpian... i've gotten at the bottom of one of those elevator shafts and lived before, even though i had to eventually kill myself to get out... i've done tons of things and found tons of glitches to do cool things... but i play the x box version with friends....

yes, i got 3ghosts, 3warthogs and 2banshees ontop of the base, but i have pc version so we can have more than 2 vehicles in a mp game.
then i drove them all down the hole in the middle and got even more vehicles ontop and down the hole, i'm working on a way to get the scorpion on the base still without killing lots of people so thet there's grenades on the floor to blast the scorpion up

i've almost gotten the scorpian ontop, i tried running it into a warthog at certain angles, and it would ride up against the wall and just almost get ontop, i was so close too! but then i think my friend came along and killed me....

I went upside down in a banshee. I hit a wall whilst going straight up and then flpped. And you know how if you press forward and backwards at the same time (on PC) you stay horizontally still but slowly go down? Well, i did that and slowly went up (very slowly). I got like 8 frags before someone shot me.

I was going to put some kind of geek joke, but i can't remember how it goes...

Though it always lags over internet for me.

its best with 4 Xbox's linked with lots of treats like pop and cookies

There will always be some one a little bit faster, a little bit smarter, a little bit stronger, that some one is me =)

roger TCA probably will have a long wait...they arnt as good with pc programming as Xbox programming =O)

Quote: "I meant my ping time doesn't 'ms' mean milliseconds ?"

Affirmative =P it does but you only measure it in MS in games pal on forums or such you wanna measure it in KB/s (kilobytes per second) mine is 100kb/s and its all thanks to XP windows ME could only get upto 48kb/s or so...XP does atleast 100kb/s

I change my Signature every two weeks....or...so...

Cause its kinda hard moving all the good T.V.s to one house.

"Does your friend own four big T.V.s?"

no, just 2 we don't have enough people to play 16-player halo, but we have enough xboxes and copies of halo to if we ever wanted to.

but he has one HUGE TV (something like a 42") and another smaller, but still big, TV (33" i think). we have to take the second TV from the upstairs living room, and his dad isn't very pleased with that.
