Today after waiting for weeks to receive my DarkBASIC Pro Bundle Pack for a late Christmas present, today I found out that I am not getting that at all. Instead I am receiving DarkBASIC and the Beginners Guide to DarkBASIC, and DarkMATTER. Since I was expecting DarkBASIC Pro, and all the other programs for game making, I am quite dissapointed. So I have a question. How good of a game could i make with just DarkBASIC and Dark MATTER? And if I can't make a very good game with those what programs are required to make one?

Id email the guys at TGC, showing proof of purchase that you DID in fact purchase the DBP bundle pack, and you can probably get that one if you send yours in.

For a decent game, you can just use DarkBasic and DarkMatter. If you want it more customized, try

DarkBasic for Programming
Milkshape 3D For objects
Paintshop Pro for Images

I think he means his parents bought it as a present and didn't order the one he wanted. In any case, DarkBasic Classic is getting on a bit now, and lacks many of the advanced features of DB Pro. However, it's considerably more stable, and most of it actually works. Since most of the advanced features of DB Pro are either missing, flawed or broken until future patches add, improve or fix them, you probably won't be missing much. And people did make some nice games with DB Classic.

Plenty of free textures on the internet. Of course, you have paint also at the very least. I recommend buying Paint Shop Pro for more advanced 2D work.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.
