i have a spritesheet that is 36754 pixels X 500 pixels with 47 animation frames. i assumed this would be 47 frames with each being 782 X 500 but it tells me the image is to small and only lets me go to 697 X 446 while keeping the 47 frames

what does this report?

and, where would you find an image like that? or why?

meanwhile, you may have found some type of limitation but how did you find the "acceptable" dimensions? a manual resize outide of AppGameKit + trial and error?

also, can graphics cards handle that width?

something's missing here.

ps, is that CS2? it looks familiar

Two things;
Your frame height 446, it is in no way divisible into 500
I'm not 100% sure but i think your image width is way too big for AGK
Maybe you could balance the width/height a bit more evenly

so what i did was manually change the size of the frames in agk till it accepted them. also its actually cs5 i got a student edition way back in college lol as for the image its a set of animation images i hade made into a test spritesheet on a website.. i was under the impression that a spritesheet is better then to just add images to the animation.
