Ok, im almost finished with the editor

Features:

Great editor. I like that it supports 24 bit, but you could easily code a heightmap for 32 etc.

P.S: how good is ur mouse selecion?

32-bit bitmaps are really 24-bit + 8-bit alpha, so thats why I wrote "24-bit"

mouse selection is great, depending in which camera mode, top view is the best of all three. A cube will move with the mouse so you still can see where the object will be placed/changed or tile/object will be selected

This is the code I wrote to get the position of the mouse at 900 height and non-rotated camera:
