AppGameKit Classic Chat / Run AGK outside of steam?

Reading here on the forums, I saw that like in 2022 was possible to run AppGameKit outside of steam.

Is this something still possible?
Would require me to contact the developers to do that?

Any information would be appreciated, I would love to run AppGameKit outside of steam using a potato laptop with Windows 7 I have and want to give some use.

you can launch AGK.exe directly @ C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\App Game Kit 2\Tier 1\Editor\bin\

you mentioned previous threads which should have included that so unsure if this is what you are after?

Hi thanks for your response, I didn't know AppGameKit is now DRM free. I was testing also the tier 2 and see it can also run without steam running. For Tier 2 is it required to have a legal copy of AGK2? or is it free for use for anyone?
