I can't believe I am STILL using DB Pro to make games for fun, but here I am. I am using Windows 10 and have not encountered any issues with DBP at all. I have a chance to upgrade to Windows 11, but I don't want to do it if it will mess things up. The only DBP related post regarding windows 11 I could find was about having problems with Ian M's stuff (which is an essential). Does anyone actively use Windows 11 with DB Pro? If so, any issues I should be aware of?

I recently installed DBPro Online on my new Win11 laptop and it worked fine out of the box. I can't tell you how much that version has changed compared to the version we all grew up with, though. For example, the DBPro pyramid logo is gone and is replaced with GameGuru logos. It's possible they made a few more changes to get it running on Win11.

Hey TheComet, nice to see you are still around also. I am using legacy DBP, but am not opposed to going with a different version if it works. I just didn't want to upgrade and find that it wouldn't work at all.

@TheComet, sounds like you got it from github? If so, it is the version they reverted back to when they started to make GameGuru(might have been fpsc reloaded originally?) - before changing their minds again and going c++ route, it is version U7.1, given the latest dated files are 01.11.2016 nothing has been done for win11 use, perhaps for windows 10 at the time, perhaps not. This may have been their in-house version of U7.1 because I don't seem to remember any GG logo with the standard U7.1 package when installed over the standard DBP installer. I would have to double check that but I am fairly certain I had 7.1 before gg/fpsc reloaded was announced and the exe icon was standard DBP logo.

I still use DBPro Version 1.058 and I have gotten it working in Windows 11 with Guy Savoie's original Editor and with the Synergy Editor that is available for download in a sticky thread on this forum.
However, I have never tried the latest version of DBPro in Windows 11. There are a lot of things that are broken when I try to port code from v1.058 to the latest version. Ironically, DBClassic works more consistently on modern hardware for me, once I use some 3rd party tools to "update" DirectX 7.

Thanks Yarbles2018. I am currently using version 1.077, and I plan to try it to see if it works, but will revert to 1.058 if not.

Well, I upgraded to Windows 11 and everything seems to be working fine. I've worked on the code for several games, both 2D and 3D, and have yet to find anything that does not work. I'm very pleased, to say the least.

IanM's Matrix Utils don't work on Windows 10, same thing is with Windows 11, I guess. DBPro works fine ( v 7.62 ), at least its core functions.

I will repeat from another recent thread, I can confirm IanM's Matrix Utils are working on the latest available Windows 10 22H2 update.
Limited testing with both DBP 1.077 (which is installed from CD and patched) and DBP 9EX 1009 (the current latest version).

Hello, I have been heavily using DBP 7_7 RC7 if I am not mistaken and have not had any issues so far with Windows 11.

I have played games of mine that use IanM's Matrix Utilities and they do indeed work on Windows 11 with 1.077.
