Anyways, the best method would be to first model your ice object. In 3dsMax you could just make a cube with several width and height segments, then convert it to an editable mesh and play with the verts until it seems natural enough. Then plop your character in and make sure he's the correct scale and in the correct position, and export the character and ice seperatly. You can then load both into DBP and set the alpha of the ice until it seems transparent enough
