Personally I can't see the big deal with Transworld and his tomfoolery - we've had far worse bull thrown at us then forgotten about it, I can see the funny side and have no doubt that a lot of you can too. If Transworld was an oldbie there would'nt be this attitude, in actual fact it's far less forgivable when an experienced forum user does this - and some have done worse than this without nearly the same reaction.

IMO it's clear that this was a joke, so let's just leave it at that and save our contempt for those that deserve it, mainly traffic wardens and old women who work in post offices.

I'm guessing you don't realise the full extent of what he did. He didn't just post once under the 'G4ri' name, he spammed the whole forums. Posted useless garbage in every thread. Some of it even still remains. The fact is though, an 'oldbie' wouldn't do something like that.

Well, oldbies have done far worse than that.

Not gonna name names or go into detail, but they have and no doubt will in the future. I seriously doubt he'll do anything like this again, and I think it'd be a real shame if he got banned over a daft joke like this.

If people think this topic is too old for discussion then that's fair enough, I'm expressing an opinion here and everyone is welcome to ignore it - no skin off my nose.

I don't mind what he did enough to ban him, but he did fill the forum with enough crap that I can't be bothered to figure out which of his posts should stay and which should go, so I have deleted every single post and thread he's ever made.

If there were legit ones in there, well.. tough. Should have thought of that before spamming the boards.

Cheers,

Rich

And that concludes "What Geri was doing in my bed", coming up next we'll have the thrilling conclusion to... "Why does Geri's cat smell so bad"

I have no idea what I'm saying.

I was bored last night so I created a new name and called myself G4ri, spammed the forums, got all of my threads deleted, learned my lesson. Is that brief enough? or you want more details?

sorry.

I am glad TP69 didn't get banned - hopefully he is humbled by this experience. Would have been nice to see Rich slapping him around with a large trout for a bit, though. Kind of anticlimactic considering all of the "hoop-lah" that it all raised last night.
Oh well. Alls well that ends well they say.

I wish they kept that thread. It was the fastest growing thread I have ever seen. When I got off it was like 80 post and 300 view in only 30 minutes. They should have kept it until I got to read what else happened when I was doing me HW.

Does any1 have that thread saved as a text file or something?. I know I would have. Becuase I just wanted to read what happened after I left. If not can any1 tell me as much as possible.

sorry, everyone.

tp69, your over-interest in what happened in that thread doesn't help your "thin ice" to thicken, if you get me. You may just want to let it drop.

ok, back to

Eh you guys are to harsh sure its a game design community but people like to have fun sure spamming is a little over the edge but no one ever said you had to click on the post. leave the decision upto the guy who runs the forums don't be so quick to judge.

And no i don't give a hoot about g4ri obviously people have givin him what he wanted...fame.

Hows that? you guys shutter at his name. And know exactly who that person is talking about so obviously you guys care to much about this guy weather its positive or negitive so thats how you gave him his 'fame'.
