i honestly need someone with a computer preferably as slow as possible in this day and age.

at the end of this link is Elite, the orignal for the PC or Acorn
(i'd prefer the acorn version to be used but i'm not fussed)

and what i'd like is for someone to play it and take screenshots for me. i've tried on my laptop, but a P4-1.3 Ghz is just WAAY to fast ... even with MOSLOW on 1% it was uncontrollably fast.
if someone could do this for my within the next few hours i'd be greatful, as well i want to reap some revenge for the nvidia camp.
(yup always about the revenge )

@Raven...When I posted my Elite game on here you said that it was slow on your P600. So what happened to your P600?

I can never find a computer that's old. I'm trying to get the parts cheaply to make an old 98 computer to run older games on, and for testing my DB creations. I was also going to use it as a media centre, plug it into my telly, etc...sorry, slowest computer at my disposal is 1050 Mhz, 512 RAM, 64meg V-card. But i have a 200Mhz comp in the back of my store room i could set up if i had a Hard Disk and some RAM. I can get the RAM if you like, but the HD might take a couple of Days. You know my e-mail if you need it...

Raven:

Hmmm, i got an 200 Pentium MMX somewhere..slow enough? Or if i search even a bit more i might find a Olivetti 486 running at blazing 50Mhz, to bad harddisk crashed on that one.

No wait i got something even better.. A Nokia 386 that reaches the amazing clockrate of 12Mhz. Equipped whit an 20 Meg harddisk (DivW, you needed a harddrive? ) and 1 Meg ram. The problem is that it would take half a day to boot it up in Windows 3.11 , getting Elite running and take a picture wich results that either the compuer crashes due to low memory or getting kicked out to Windows for the same reason.
But then i wouldn´t worry if the game would run to fast on that one.

i don't have a P600 anymore, i upgrade alot; side i'm in the UK and only have my laptop with me.

basically need a system capable of being slowed with moslow atleast to around 12mhz (which would be a fast 286), as this is what Elite was original designed for.

the links to the software is above, but i've since found an emulator for my original Acorn tape...
so i've been tinkering with that

Acorn Electron + Elite 1983 build so have some fun with that if you want, hopefully within a few days should finish what i'm working on.

Most slowdown utilities would take up all of those 12mhz, even the very old ones, no ?

I was in my garage (full of electronic junk EX: PCs,Ataris,C64s) and I found an old computer with a 32Mhz processor and about 10Mb HD. Is that good enough or is the file more than 10mb? (i think it still works I have to test it).
