Here are two logic problems,I know the answers to them.I'll give you all some time to solve them. Then I'll give the answers.

1.There's one bulb in a cabin and three swicthes outside of the cabin. You can lift up the switches one at the time.
You have to know which switch light on the bulb.

2.You are in a cabin. You just have one match. And there sre an oil bulb,a fire place and a candle.Which one you light on first?

Post your answers.

Those have nothing to do with logic . They have to do with latteral thinking. I do wish people would learn what the heck they're talking about these days.

Not sure which category they fall into. My dictionary is a bit fuzzy about what lateral thinking actually means. It says Illogical answer to a problem, but if that were true then there would be no answer to the problem, because any answer to a problem has to be logical.

A milkman has two empty jugs: a three gallon jug and a five gallon jug. How can he measure exactly one gallon without wasting any milk?

Fill the 3 gallon, pour it into the 5 gallon.
Fill the 3 a second time, then pour it into the 5 until it's full.

What's left over in the 3 gallon jug is 1 gallon.

'because any answer to a problem has to be logical.'

The question and answer themselves must be logical, but the content of the answer can be completely illogical. Valid and True are very different .

Thinking outside of the cube here..
Either I'm being a little too precise, or its a cunning riddle.
I noticed you didn't say only 4, 3 or 2 legs..so really anything with 4 legs.

w,a,t,n,t,l,i,t,f,p,?,?

The next letter is 's' because that spells watntlitfps which is goetic shorthand for Wan't Little FPS. That means you want a First Person Shooter with midgets involved! Which is something that I have been looking forward to fort a long time!

.BCD..G..

How does the rest go?

[EDIT]Erm. Didn't look too good before. How about now? Bugger.. maybe as code box... Not really. Sigh... still, should get idea. ie. A is on top, then B on bottom followed by C and D on bottom, then E above, then F against it, then G below, then H and I above.

Cheers

Yep. Although "A" isn't too obvious with Courier in code window.

Is apparently a test they gave to really young kids. Most kids got it correct really easy. Most adults either can't get the answer, or take ages. Mainly because they try to apply logic (I had a complicated algorithm for it) to the list of letters. Even when you tell them it is easy, and kids can get it. More fun in a programming office, where everyone thinks they tops.

Cheers
