I think they have small houses in England. I would say TGC would make them 'well to do' but not 'rich' as such.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if someone made tons of money off of a game they made in DarkBASIC, and ended up being richer than anyone in TGC? That's what you call irony.

Your site says that "the production of Majestic Worlds is costing us a lot more than we thought". How? Why do wan't to rip people off?

If that was meant to be funny, then it was. Made me chuckle quite a bit.

I reckon that they must get reasonably good salaries - I mean they would be working for a larger company if they did'nt make enough money, simple as that.

As for someone making more money than them with a DB app - well T3DGM has aparantly made more money for them than anything else, and that's written in DBv1.09!. I can see someone making a decent wad of cash with DB before long, doubtful that it'd be through a commercial game, more like the uber-succesful DTS or through using DBPro to demonstrate a game design to a development team. Makes perfect sense to use a program like DBPro in R&D stages, damn site easier to code in C++ based on a DBPro source, than from thoery.

Wouldnt there be a general owner of TGC rather than being ran by everyone who works there? Just that your a member of staff doesnt mean you own part of the company...

I would be unstoppable if I could just get started...

TGC has 2 'Directors', namely Lee and Rick Vanner, they basically manage the rest of the team although everyone has an equal say and can put forward ideas but basically Lee and Rick have the final say so from this they could be considered the owners. Obviously Lee is the founder but I think that Rick could now be considered co-owner. I might add that they all work from home so there aren't as many expenses as you'd expect so this means that most of the money they make is profit.

"please tell us, what car do you drive"

Brand new Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel, but that's irrelevant as to being an indicator to the "wealth" of TGC staff really.

DTSP is now officially the biggest selling title made with DB. It outsells The Sims in this country on a week by week basis (The Sims being the single largest selling PC title in the UK). We won't see a DB/DBP game do the same - but another title like DTSP, yeah.. easily.

Cheers,

Rich
