I read that quite a while back, problem is babelfish's translations are so crap. Why do they keep referring to the Federal Post Office is beyond me.

Yeah, but that is the original English version, it was on the website too .

I liked his idea for free DB on Cornflake packets. Imagine Coder-Flakes, with a code snippet inside every pack!. I'll get onto Kelloggs immediately, cold pizza is not an ideal breakfast.

wow... I found that very encouraging. It's too bad Lee doesn't give us this information... he raraley talks to us these days, of course, he's busy with coding and such, but I think everyone would be less quick to complain if he actually hung around more, and actually talked to us, tell us what's going on. Or is that form DBDN members only?

(Just a question, no flames or insults intended)

I think more fansites should make interviews and then post about them in all DB forums.

I've never tried beef jerky, I think it must be like my moms cooking, sorta chewy stuff that you can't really swallow without hurting yourself. I think the closest we have in Britain is Pepperami, it's like a spicy pepperoni sausage that is long and thin. I like em, except they are sold in a weird condom thing that always puts me off.

The best coding snack are always boiled sweets, anything that lasts for ages and does'nt require anything other than your mouth to eat them. Pringles are good but they don't last very long in my house.

Nothing beats a bag of chips, a big coke and a huge glass when coding. However that's really bad for you health ,:')

I have really bad habits when coding, like I'll eat a whole packet of Jaffa Cakes without realising (If you don't know what Jaffa Cakes are then your deprived).

I tend to sit funny too, one time I has sorta sitting with my left foot under my right knee, for like hours and hours. Then when I tried to stand up I fell flat on my ass - I'd dislocated my ankle!.

I like snax that don't make my hands greasy and stuff, so I don't have to continually wash my hands before going back to coding. Jubjubes (spelling) and Jellybeans are the greatest

Vegemite rocks (the British version is called Marmite). I'm the same, except probably not in such high quantities, I don't like blobs of it, I prefer when it soaks into the toast .

Mite is one of those things that you either love or hate, it's such a strong destinctive taste that you can't just think it's OK, you instantly have a strong opinion about mite the minute you taste it. Everyone else I know hates Marmite (in fact I get funny looks when I tell people I like it, like I'm some sorta sicko).

Hehe, Zippy hates it too:

Here's Indi's breakfast:

It's sorta like dark earwax with a beefy taste. It is actually pretty healthy, vegetarians craving a beefy taste often eat it.

DG, I love oriental food, especially stir-frys and rice dishes, wanna cook for me? (the woman can't stir fry).
I always find it weird when I see Americans eating chinese food from little cardboard boxes, in the UK they arrive in foil cartons and we use plates.

What's a stir-fry? I often mix asian and swedish food, makes a great combination if you ask me =9 Jasmin rice is great, and I make it with onions, soy and some other secret stuff so it tastes extremly good =9

A few days ago I bougt 8 small squared bowls in dark glas, 4 plates in the same style, 16 chinese eatsticks and some cool black/silver tablets (things you put on the table for each person and put the plate and everything on top. I'm goona save them until I move to a flat again. Looks really cool though =)

A stir fry is basically chicken, pork, or beef sliced, and fried with vegetables and sometimes noodles in a wok. You'd add a sweet & sour, black bean, or another flavour sauce, there's lots you can do with a stir-fry.

The best chinese restaurants are all-you-can-eat buffet style places. I like lots of variety .

van b mmmmmmmmm how good does that look

I like promite & vegemite and I havent tasted marmite to know if its the same.

If u have never eaten it and like savoury things then try a thinly spread amount on some toast and if u want with honey or with avacado and garlic and balsamic vingear.

or the classic
warm fresh chewey bread with poppy seeds
real (salted or unsalted) butter
vegemite

hehe theres also a site on the net where this american guy did the hole 9 yards webpage on it.

He took photos of himself from start to finish, hehe he hated it but his wife didnt mind it.
some correlation with the yeast products she grew up on.

marmalade rocks also

sorry lee we covered this post with spreads and jams.

dang im gonna go make some

Well, I'm one of the ones that hates marmite.

Dead Glory, if you're going to buy a wok, make sure it's not non-stick. Ken Hom's a traitor to his heritage, you see it goes like this...

Put noodles in with some oil and fry gently.

Add in water chestnuts and bamboo shoots if you wish.

Push the noodles up the side of the huge wok.

Add the meat(I prefer beef here, it's quite authentic.) and fry that.

Once you're done, push the noodles back in. Fry a little, and if you want you can shove in some bean sprouts. The sprouts can be done at different levels much like a steak. I like mine al dente.

Put it on a plate. Eat it with gratuitous pleasure

Stir fry rocks, but I'm quite partial to any oriental food, be it Chinese, Japanese or Korean.

Who wants cake? I've got a little slice of hell for everyone.

Well, then I have made stir-fry =) A friend of mine once bought a smal bottle of black bean sauce and it's one of the most horrible things I ever tasted. For a stir-fry I recomend a little japanse soy (not chinese or anything else), I use Kikkoman, and some thai sweet chili sauce. Taste great if you are man enough to take enough heat of the chili to feel the sweat taste it actually has.

Mir:
I already got a wok, a very smal one though. It's enough to wok for about 2-3 persons though. It's really hard too find good oriental ingredients over here though exept for nudles and sauces.

In Glasgow, there's a Chinatown. There's also one in Manchester and New York that I know of. They've got a supermarket with really authentic ingredients.

Wow, so that's what Lee Bamber looks like. Strangely enough, I expected him to have dark hair. :p

I like beef jerky, but I usually munch on Doritos and salsa while coding, and listen to trance/drum and bass. But that's the only time I listen to techno, I swear.
