Territorial waters are agreed by mandate and are 2 miles out from the coast, except Great Britain which is 12 miles.

This may have something to do with Britain running the world at the time this was all agreed.

What do you mean 'at the time Britian ruled the world'? We still run the world! Do you think George Bush was clever enough to figure out which direction the east was? Who do you think told him 'Iraq' wasn't a shelf you put eyes on? We did! See? See our power!

I would like to play along and agree with you purely out of biggotist patriotism, but unfortunately you are implying that Tony Blair has enough brain cells to construct a sentence. Whilst George W Bush is certainly no shining example of a human being, with Tony Blair as our PM we are hardly in a position to mock him.
