Hey everyone,

I'm too cheap to purchase Sound Matter. Does anyone know of anywhere on the web where I can download a nice amount of royalty-free sound effects?

I know there are lots of amateur sites that have 5-10 each, but I'd like a place that has many categorized wav files.

If there aren't any good places, where do most of you go to get your sound effects for your games?

Thanks

You could wait for the mouse.... or you can google up some. I found some great sound effects, but they were from all over. Sorry if I couldn't give you any specifics.

@PiratSS - Yeah, I google for them now, but a lot of those amateur sites have a billion popups and gator plug-ins... drives me crazy!

EDIT: I found the perfect resource, http://www.findsounds.com/

Jeku:
Nothing beats high quality 44kHz 16bit stereo sounds, and to get those you usually have to pay. Nice site you found though.

Exeat:
Nice, they even got CDs for sale in higher quality and they accept PayPal. I may buy from them later.

@DeadGlory - Yeah, I was thinking about getting the CDs from that site.
