In case you haven't heard yet, they are finaly getting them out in September

Well, that screws up my prediction of 2007 (30th anniversary)

I am sure they are saving some "bonus" footage for the 30th anniversary special, why wait when you can release it september and a special version in 2007.

Our civilization faces three great dangers. The first is destruction by a nuclear war, the second is being crippled with overpopulation and the third is the Age of Leisure.

What bugs me is that these are technically the "special edition" versions of the originals. We're likely never going to be able to see/buy the true Star Wars originals without all the superfluous, gaywad CGI extras that Lucas added to them. I'm no Star Wars purist but I know what sucks, and the CGI in the re-releases sucks!

Lets hope good old DVD wizardry can have original versions too. Although I doubt it. Probably will be special editions, then original versions come out due to popular demand, then 30th anniversary special special edition, then junior version, then adult version... etc etc.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

I hate the CGI versions. I have the best versions, with Ultra FX Surround sound, but no CGI!
