Wine... Free (courtesy of JC)
Food for 5000 guests (2 fish, 5 bread rolls)... £2.79
Scribe to record the day for your upcoming book... £10/hour
Homework being set about you 2000 years after your death... priceless.

Somethings in this world make sense, for everything else there's religion.*

But all you people really should learn to do your own homework. :/

(*Not meaning to offend anyone of anything, just being vaguely amusing)

Hmmm. Mastercard adverts for religious studies? Erm.... can see some clashes on that one...

Does it have to be a proper advert to promote Mastercard, but including religion? Cos, there is the rub...

Devoted to God : £500
Worshipping Jesus : £250
Helping others : £100
Existing in eternal bliss : Priceless.

Just seems a bit much with the money (ie. not exactly religious).

I would go with:-

Ritual Satanic sacrifice : £1200 (per virgin)
Bath of blood : £500
Seeking the eternal damnation of Hell : £1500
Conspiring with the hordes of the pit : £750
Selling your soul : £2000
Letting Jesus into your life, and bringing hope to everyone who knows you : Priceless

Man that was cheesy. I need a shower...

Cheers

Heh, and according to the JW books, they would go something like...

Christianity : The eternal damnation of nuclear hell
Buddist : See Christianity
Every other religion : See above
Jehova Witness : Neverending hapiness in a place much like the garden of Eden, with lions and tigers and everything, plus a nuclear cloud in the background over a ruined city, oh, and they are all dead. Erm... I mean Priceless. (Honest, I have the book somewhere)

Cheers

Quote: "Not!"

How so? Unless JW have changed dramatically over the last few years, then this is basically it in a nutshell. I even remember reading some of the articles which basically said "Even if you think you are worshipping Jesus, are very good etc, go to church every day etc, then, because you are not a Jehova's witness, then essentially you are being tricked by Satan, and will go directly to hell. Will not pass go. Will not collect £200 etc."

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Jehova Witness, they just always amused me. And their literature is actually quite interesting. They basically cover some pretty cool topics in detail, then spoil it with the last paragraph essentially saying "but nevermind all that, you will burn in hell unless you are a Jehova Witness!!!". Nice.

I don't expect any backlash from that one, cos of the long discussion I had with a Jehova Witness a few years ago, where basically computers are the Axis of evil or somesuch, and we shouldn't be using them. So none on here I would imagine. Otherwise, tut tut. Oh, he then followed that up by saying they had a translating program (a bit like Babel fish these days) that could convert any language (perfectly too he insisted). Aha. And it fit on a floppy. Hmmm. Bit opposite to the eternal damnation for being a computer science student... Oh, and this was 1991. Go figure.

Cheers

Ps. Oh, and Stan, isn't your teacher really giving you like hardly any wiggle room here? I mean, all you can really do is something like
Vietnam : £30 billion
WW2 : £50 billion
Iraq 1 : £5 billion
Iraq 2 : £25 billion
Christianity/place next to God/a childs love etc : Priceless.

And we won't even mention the religion/wars type link that makes the above a bit of a cheek (apart from the child's love bit, and forget mentioning religion).

Oh, I was just chucking in random figures above, no need to post how wrong I was

So what was wrong with my war one? Had nasty war stuff, then something religious at the end. Perfectly fine if you ask me.

And it's "sense".

How about
dead kennedys - kill the poor

Our civilization faces three great dangers. The first is destruction by a nuclear war, the second is being crippled with overpopulation and the third is the Age of Leisure.

Religeous Education in the UK focusses on Morals as well as different religeous beliefs, but they call it RE all the same. Allthough everyone's jumped on the Christianity Angle, when i did RE we didn't do Christianity, we did Budhism, Hindu, etc.
