It takes you to page 47, which doesn't exist yet

no, it just takes you to the first page because of a database error i think, or it tries to take you to the last page but it gets the number wrond because deleted posts have mucked it up so itloads the first page instead

There is a small problem with the way that the forum handles deleted posts ... it doesn't decrease the post count. Hopefully this will be fixed when the next forum update is released.

I've never heard of a stored post count... wouldn't it have been wise to make it dynamically count? Maybe a slight speed decrease, though.

What? And count the number of posts in the latest 50 threads? More like a massive speed decrease.

The fastest way is to update the counts when you add or delete a post. It's just that the deletion facility currently misses out on doing this.

sometimes it does take you to a nonexistant page and sometimes the first, both have happened to me
