This is very cool! I would love to try this out when I ditch my wireless net connection in about 2 months. Thanks for the link

Hard to imagine they could fit even the compilers and other protocols on a single floppy!

EDIT: Quick! Somebody port a good C++ compiler Then Doom! They've ported Doom to every other OS in man's history...

God Froogle, that's some attitude your dragging around with you.

The cool thing about minimalist OS's is that they can go on minimalist PC's. Back in the days before windows XP, OS's used to be pretty small in comparison (like Win95 was about 100mb), to suit the tiny hard drives. If anyone has a cruddy old PC or finds a cheap <P200 laptop, they can install this and get some use outta the thing before it dies.

yeah it's pretty sick. It was featured on TechTV's show The Screen Savers last night. I saw it in action, looks pretty cool and pretty interesting. If anyone loads it up, post up here with any info.

The last time I looked at this was around 2 years ago when it was featured in DrDobbs - it's certainly moved on quite a bit

Worked perfectly well for me, very impressive. Just the OS is fairly impressive, the fact they've got so much else on their is just astounding.

USB mice aren't really supported by that much yet.

This is very impressive! Especially for something that fits on one floppy.

Cool!

Just reminded me of something else. The never-ending contest to see who can compress windows the most. So far, last I heard, some guy nearly has win98 on a floppy. Like 4mb I think.

Hmmm does it just have a problem with the USB mouse or USB itself? In that case, I may have a problem with my keyboard :p

Yes you can. It includes support for ethernet devices, and has a HTTP server, a shoutcast server an IRC client, a telnet client and a few other things.
